GRAH! I never understood why in numerous scripts and applications I’ve come across (especially Perl or PHP scripts) have certain variables (especially those that contain paths) with ridiculous conditions like “If defined, the path must end with a slash.”. You usually don’t find out about this until you set a path value the wrong way and then come across little gems like that quote buried in their documentation. I hate having to remember whether or not I can put a slash at the end of this variable or not. It should not matter! It just seems unprofessional and lazy.
Of course I’m just as bad for only complaining about it rather than fixing these scripts myself so they do not care about the a trailing slash or not 😛
PS: Yes I”m still alive and bitter as usual
